About the Program

500+ bankers have graduated from LBA's Leadership School since the school began in 2010. The school is held twice each year, with students meeting once a month for five months and completing online course work and assigned readings in between meetings. Class size is limited to give attendees the opportunity for one-on-one time with the instructors and to network with other bankers in the course. Some of LBA’s most respected instructors will conduct half-day sessions on technical banking issues.

SSA Consultants will deliver individual and team development activities to the participants, including:

  • The month prior to onsite training, initiate initial assessments using the Hogan Leadership Forecast Series which includes the Potential, Challenge, Values, & Coaching Reports.
  • Provide participants with one-on-one coaching to discuss individual Hogan results and implications to individual and team performance and career development.
  • During the months of onsite training, facilitate leadership development sessions leveraging the Hogan results and SSA’s 40 years of leadership development experience.
  • Administer iCapstone online leadership development modules that directly support the facilitated sessions and overall learning objectives of the program.

What Former Students Have to Say...

The best part of leadership school was making contacts with fellow bankers and getting the information that will last a lifetime — 2022 Leadership School I Graduate

The best part of Leadership school was the Hogan Assessments. Learning what type of leader I am and what I need to work on to become a more effective leader — 2022 Leadership School I Graduate

“This school gave me the opportunity to learn to identify and display effective communication and help me identify areas I need to improve personally and professionally. I highly recommend the school to anyone to wants to grow personally and professionally.” — 2021 Leadership School Graduate

“Leadership School has been a great opportunity to learn about other facets of banking that are not particularly in “my area”. Not to mention the valuable, life-changing things that I have learned about myself both professionally and personally. Hearing other attendees’ challenges and getting better insight on other’s personalities is also a very useful tool. Just like that old commercial said there’s always room for Jell-O…there is always room for improvement! Thanks to my employer for seeing something special in me and to the LBA for providing the opportunity to continue my development.” — 2021 Leadership School Graduate

“The Leadership School was the best school I have ever been a part of. I have learned so many life lessons and also many ways to effectively manage my personal leadership abilities. This class was worth every cent!” — 2021 Leadership School Graduate

“I enjoyed learning more about myself and how I can be better. Great speakers!” — 2019 Leadership School Graduate

“The class was great. That is not saying that the idea and concepts were new or unused, but it provided a great platform for discussion around these topics. The diversity of the class added great value since we were able to share ideas and insights across business lines/departments." — 2019 Leadership School Graduate
