LBA’s Cookies and Careers in Banking initiative brings banker panels to college campuses to introduce banking as a career option to business students. LBA gathers a panel of bankers to tell their career path story while letting the students know the many career options available in the banking industry. After that, time is allowed for the students to ask questions. The cost of admission for the students is a resume that will be shared with the banks participating in the event. The goal is to encourage young people to consider banking as a career option and to introduce bankers to university faculty and staff.

Participating colleges are asked to:

  • Secure the meeting space on campus
  • Share/promote the invitation with the students
  • Provide tables for panelist, banks to set out swag & a table for cookies
  • Provide a microphone if needed
  • Secure parking passes if needed

LBA takes care of:

  • Creating an invitation that can be used for the event
  • Securing the panelists
  • Making the name cards
  • Moderating the panel
  • Providing the cookies
