Attendees of this webinar will be taken through a project life cycle during the acquisition of a commercial real estate property with historical contamination and how it was successfully assessed for recognized environmental conditions leading to lower risk for the lender and buyer at closure. This webinar relies upon industry standard ASTM 1527-21 Guidance for Conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and is an environmental consultants view of the successful implementation of the process.

Sarah Lewis is a PMP-Certified, Project Scientist based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She holds a Master of Science degree in Oceanography and Coastal Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Coastal and Environmental Science from Louisiana State University where she was a Nature Conservancy Fellow. Lewis has led project teams for assessment, investigation, and closure of contaminated sites throughout Louisiana. With a reputation as a strong client advocate, she is adept at agency consultation, program management, and stakeholder communication.
David Winter is the founder of Lord and Winter. A Geologist with 30 year’s experience he has extensive Program Management experience throughout the US working in environmental assessment and CERCLA environmental sites. He holds a Master of Science in Geochemistry from the Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Geology from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. He is a certified Project Management Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and a state certified Professional Geologist. Winter's extensive environmental experience includes numerous large scale commercial real estate, manufacturing, industrial, and mining assessment and cleanup projects for both private and federal clients. He has won and managed over $1B in federal and private contracts in 30 years and has successfully managed projects and teams on environmental permitting and restoration projects throughout the US.
