Anti-Fraud and Security Peer Group Meeting (Via Zoom)

Please note: Peer group discussions are designed for LBA Member Bank employees

Check fraud and payment fraud continues to be a growing concern – what are you seeing and what practices are you using to help limit fraud losses? Do you have any new processes in place that are helping to save the bank money from fraud losses? Are you familiar with the tough anti-fraud legislation passed by the LBA earlier this year?  Have you received any feedback from area law enforcement officers about the tough new laws – especially the mail crime statute?  Bankers are also continuing to see incidents of elderly financial exploitation - especially with romance and lottery scams.  What policies and practices are banks using to combat this? Are you using the Protection of Eligible Adults from Financial Exploration Law, RS 6:1371-1376? Have you used the transaction delay tool included in the law?  What type of ATM crime are you seeing? What changes are you making to address physical security? In light of the recent changes to the state concealed handgun laws, have you recently reviewed your bank’s policies on firearms and made any changes? Register today for the September 12th meeting. This peer group will meet via Zoom.
