Compliance Specialist in Mandeville
Summary: The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for completing and/or directing internal compliance monitoring to provide objective assurance of the Bank’s compliance with regulatory law; assists in improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal control, and governance functions of the Bank. Specific Job Functions: Responsible for reviewing portfolio to determine HMDA and CRA reportable loans. Responsible for the accuracy of the HMDA Loan Application Register (LAR). Prepares source documents to verify key data fields on the HMDA LAR and CRA LAR. Assists the Compliance Officer in monthly monitoring. Prepares reports as necessary. Responsible for reading, analyzing and interpreting government regulations. Remains up to date with new and changing regulations. Attends regular third party training to stay abreast of all upcoming compliance changes and areas of regulatory exam focus. Perform other duties as delegated by the Compliance Officer or CRA Officer. Knowledge of federal consumer protection laws and regulations such as: Reg B, Reg BB, Reg X, Reg Z, Reg C, Reg CC, Reg D, Reg DD & Reg E. Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements: Required: Minimum GED or High School Diploma. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Compliance audit experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or Compliance Certifications through the ICBA or ABA. Experience with Microsoft office suites. Good organizational skills including attention to detail and follow through. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well under compressed time constraints. Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time. Ability to resolve problems in a professional and efficient manner. Team oriented.
