In late 2021, the FFIEC released guidance related to authentication replacing the FFIEC-issued Authentication in an Internet Banking Environment (2005) and the Supplement to Authentication in an Internet Banking Environment (2011).  This update acknowledges that authentication extends to far more than customer-facing systems and provides guidance for institutions on how to deploy secure access and authentication practices.  In this webinar, we will discuss the state of authentication and review the successes and challenges with meeting this guidance one year later.

Learning objectives

  • Assess authentication and access risks
  • Review key takeaways from the updated guidance
  • Recognize the importance of implementing secure authentication and access practices
  • Apply knowledge of these practices within your organization
