Overview
This course provides bank internal auditors with a practical introduction to data analytics and how it can be effectively applied within the internal audit function. The session begins with an overview of core data analytics concepts, including data fundamentals, categories of analytics, and commonly used tools (primarily Microsoft Excel and Power BI). We will also focus on real-world audit examples that demonstrate how data analytics can be applied to common banking audit areas such as lending and operational processes. Participants will see how analytics can be used to analyze full populations, identify outliers, and support risk-based audit conclusions. The course is designed to help auditors move beyond theory and gain confidence in using data analytics to strengthen audit coverage and insights.
Please note: It is suggested that participants bring a laptop to this program to follow along with the instructor.
