David Boneno

24 Years: David has served as general counsel to the Association since 1998 where he is responsible for advising LBA member banks, savings banks and savings and loan associations on banking law and regulatory issues, representing the industry in the state and federal legislative process and representing the interests of the banking industry in the judicial system by filing amicus curiae briefs in selected litigation. David earned his bachelor's of science in finance from Louisiana State University and his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University School of Law. He serves on the Louisiana State Law Institute’s UCC Committee, Security Devices Committee, and Component Parts Property Committee and he is also an ABA Courses instructor and regularly teaches seminars on Mortgage Loan Documentation. He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association. He also serves as an assistant bar examiner for Code III. In 2005, David was selected to the Baton Rouge Business Report’s class of “40 Under Forty.”
