BATON ROUGE— Boyd R. Boudreaux, president and chief executive officer of Fidelity Homestead Savings Bank in New Orleans, was installed as the 2009-2010 chairman of the Louisiana Bankers Association during the 109th Annual LBA Convention & Exposition, held on May 13-15.

Boudreaux succeeds Jerome Vascocu, president and chief executive officer of Richland State Bank in Rayville. As outgoing LBA chairman, Vascocu will continue to serve for one year as immediate past chairman on the LBA board of directors.

Delegates to the LBA convention also confirmed new officers and elected directors.

  • Chairman-elect: Albert C. Christman, president and chief executive officer of Guaranty Bank and Trust in Delhi
  • Treasurer: Reginald H. Smith, president and chief executive officer of Metairie Bank and Trust
  • Northwest Region Representative: Thomas Martin, president of Gibsland Bank and Trust
  • Northeast Region Representative: Michael Vizard, president and chief executive officer of Cross Keys Bank in St. Joseph

Other LBA directors for the upcoming year are: Southwest Region Representative Glen D. Bertrand of City Savings Bank in DeRidder, Southeast Region Representative W. David Crumhorn of St. Tammany Homestead Association in Covington, Central Region Representative Richard Kent “Ken” Hale of Bank of Montgomery, Capitol Region Representative Raymond E. Kron, Jr., of Bank of Greensburg, Acadiana Region Representative Donald R. Landry of MidSouth Bank in Lafayette, South Central Region Representative Stevenson J. Lefort of State Bank & Trust in Golden Meadow, Southeast Region Representative Michael E. Nolan of Fifth District Savings Bank in New Orleans and LBA Chief Executive Officer Robert T. Taylor.
