The LBA Bank Counsel Section consists of bank attorneys that work as both in-house and outside counsel. The section members, under the direction of the Bank Counsel Committee members, assist in drafting legislation and work closely with the LBA government relations and legal staff throughout the year. Membership dues for the Bank Counsel Section are $150 per year and entitle members to the following Association benefits:
Listing in the The Bankers Directory, the LBA financial directory that is available in the Members Section and printed each year
A subscription to LBA's newsletter, The Louisiana Banker
Access to the Members Section of LBA's website--which include electronic versions of four LBA publications: Louisiana Banking Laws, Louisiana Commercial Laws, The Louisiana Banker newsletter and The Bankers Directory
First priority registration to LBA Bank Counsel Section seminars, including the annual Bank Counsel Conference which usually carries 15 CLE credit hours (including the mandatory hours on ethics and professionalism)
Eligibility to register for the LBA Annual Convention and any other LBA workshop or conference at the LBA member rate
